xbox hd dvd player

hi guys, just a quick question about the hd player, i realise that you can play hd dvd's from any region on it as i've got a couple and they work superbly, but can you play region 1 dvd's on it as i quite fancy getting grindhouse from the states, but don't have a region 1 player.

You said yourself you can play any region... or is region 1 special? I duno I'm not clued up on today technology

No you cant play region 1 dvds on it

i would but i am a tidy freak and it wouldn't fit in with my av set-up.

I've got a pc hooked up to the tv, but not a big fan of playing dvd's through it as it's a little noisy but it looks like it might be my only option.

umm i bought transformers region 1 for my 360 hd dvd and it works fine!! :confused:

You bought a HD DVD which has no region coding to date (and no immediate plans to implement it) He's asking about Region 1 DVD's, which do have region coding and as such will not play on a European HD DVD player.
