EDIT - I just deleted my blah blah post to cut to the chase.

Are the new HDMI xboxes falcons?

For info, I know about the 175w power supply and I know falcons are untested by time.

Thanks

I think it 'has' to have the 175W power supply to be a guaranteed falcon.. the first 'elites' had HDMI and where not Falcon's.. I don't think anybody knows for sure if these 'hybrid' motherboards are present in the first batches of HDMI Pro/Arcades..

The proof so I am led to understand is in the heatsinks, do a google, there is a way to spot a falcon by looking through the case vent holes...

Does that Help?

there were arcades/pros with the older zephyr motherboards altho as said if its 175watt psu this is the 1st step as the older type boards need the higher 203watt psu's to run :)

If you look through the vents on the bottom of the console and see

1) Big pointy yellow beak
2) Sharp Talons
3) Feathers

Then you have a falcon in your Xbox360!!

No, 360's had HDMI and the newer heatsinks before the smaller CPU revision came in.

i seem to remember reading something about the wattage being printed on a sticker on the outisde of the console near the serial number. i think if it had 175W somewhere on this sticker then it was a falcon??

though a quick google suggest that there are some that say 203W on them, yet come with a 175W adapter lol

Yeh it does ... I'm buying a PS3 then ;)

Thanks

Haha! :p

My mate has the falcon motherboard but the 90nm chips. His mobo is sooooo different to mine, missing caps, totally different routing, different caps etc...
