Xbox Live Account

Hi all,

I created an xbox live account with the 1 months free trial but have decided i don't like the name I gave myself. Ok ok i was in a rush and just wanted to play

Is there anyway of getting the name changed or could I just open another account at the end of the free month under a different msn account?

You can change it at a cost (in £ - around £8 i think), but if you've only used the free trial you could create another account - however Achievements/Save Games would not cross over.

Hmm don't really wanna loose my save games.

Is there a website or something you can change it on?

i think it can be done via the dashboard somewhere, you need some MS points to do it though like i say

i think Save games cant be moved, though i could be wrong - i know achievements are locked to the account

Click on your profile thing on the dash Goto > Edit Gamer Profile > Edit Gamertag > and voila

800MS Points

It costs money (which can be used to purchase points on the dashboard) then you can change it.

It will automatically update on all the people on your friends lists dash too.
