I arrived very late on the Xbox scene so forgive me if this is a stupid question..

I've just had an email stating - "Confirmation of cancellation of Xbox Live Prepaid 3 Month Gold Membership Card"

Do Microsoft actually mean it's expired rather than cancelled? Or has it actually been cancelled for some reason?

The title of my email on the same subject is:

Expiration Notification for Xbox Live Prepaid 12 Month Gold Membership Card

See that makes more sense as it refers to expiration whereas mine says it's been cancelled but gives no further details.

This is the first gold membership I've purchased so I wasn't sure if it was just bad terminology on MS's behalf.

Maybe their system is a bit "special" I'm looking through my emails and some say "Expiration" whilst others say "cancellation" and I don't remember having any problems.

Edit: Oh wait, it seems they send me a "expiration" one, then a few days later a "cancellation" one, so basically it's giving you a quick warning that it's about to expire, then gives you a notification that the gold is about to cancel. So I wouldn't worry about it.
