Xbox live code, anyone got one?

I really need to check if i can actually play games over xbox live lag free before i go out and buy xbox live gold, my internet is pretty poor, its ment to be 4mb VM but its more like 56k lol, so if anyone could email me one at [email protected] i would really really appricaite it, so i can play halo 3 online

You get a 30 day free trial of gold when you sign up for a silver account.

but i recovered my old gamertag from my old 360, so unfortuatly i cant do that (unless i just make one just to see if it works...)

Indeed, just create a new silver account then take the months free gold.

Is your access through a router? Have you done the network tests on your 360? Is NAT showing as strict?

no, i did have a router but it completely slowed down my internet, plus on xbox live market place you couldnt even load up the list or anything, but when i tried it on just direct to modem it worked fine.

Was just trying to figure out why your connection seems so slow, have seen a few posts of yours complaining about it

Maybe get an engineer out to check your line?

You could also log onto your modem and check the levels yourself to see if they look ok and check your modem is actually set to the right speed.

yeah, it seems a lot better though since i got rid of my router, i think it was just faulty or something.

Also, just wondering, using a wired connection, whats the best way to keep it connected? Because i really dont enjoy getting out my 15m ethernet cable whenever i wanna go on live. Ive been told to put it under the carpet, but i can see that being annoying since my house is a weird layout, and wont it get stepped on and make it crap lol?

If signing up for a new account doesn't work then I have a number of those free trials lying around.
