Xbox Live Communicator Headset question

Quick question: Is it possible to use the xbox 1 headset with the xbox 360?

As I'm considering buying an xbox 1 stater kit rather than just a card.

Yes but you lose mute and volume controls.

Which are available through the guide button. More annoying than having the controls on the pad, but not totally lost.

you can also get an adapter so you get the mute & volume buttons. i've got one i used before i went wireless

Sweet, gonna have to try this. Ive got the wireless headset, but when the batteries die i fond the 360 standard headset pretty uncomfortable, adn the xbox one really comfy.
