Ive been having some problems for a while now and its finally starting to annoy me so im desperately trying to find a fix. Whenever i load up a game ill lose connection, on the dashboard the marketplace rarely loads and when it does theres apparently no games available to download, on the rare chance there is ill keep getting errors and nothing downloads, I even have problems sending and deleting messages. Anyone ever had anything like this or know how to fix it?

Also im on BT using the Homehub 2.0 and everything is fine with phones/laptops/PCs

maybe perform a network test on the xbox to see whether your restricted or open. If your restricted you can probably open up a few forwarding ports for your xbox 360 so it can be open.
another brief option is to plug the console in with a network cable to see if the problem remains or not.

Network tests always come up different, I've done loads and they always say something different, router is to far away for it to be plugged in directly, everything seemed to be fine until the recent dash update

Is anyone having any grief at the mo? I just got booted off Xbox Live and both it and the web domain xbox.com are unavailable.

Its all working fine for me. I've BT too. And the first type of 360 with HDMI.

Tried a total restart of the router? PnP is on?

Hopefully this will be a simple fix :)

It seems to be a routing issue somewhere

www.live.com is the core of all Microsoft authentication I think?

Wired. But other BE* users are reporting the same issue so there's nowt wrong at my end. Just got to sit and wait... :(

I'd be interested to see another tracert from someone who can connect to xbox live.

login.live.com.nsatc.net

This is getting tiresome and since they've been refused the cash this year to re-jig the network it isn't going to get better. I'm just hoping my cabinet is live before the RFS date end of next month.

I'm on O2 (basically BE's network) and I'm getting the exact same issues tonight. It will work on the odd occasion, but it's been mainly terrible all evening.

Does O2/BE know about this?

Yeah, they are aware of it. Not sure what they are doing about it though. Support is less than forthcoming on the forum.

Cheers, just ran a quick search for the benefit of everyone else on O2/BE.

Routing issues
2012-05-09 18:03:26, by drsox

BE are currently having issues routing traffic to some destinations.

Services we have noticed that are affected:
-Dropbox
-Xbox Live
-Microsoft services inc. Messenger.
-Hotmail
-php.net
-Sony website and Playstation online services.
-Yahoo groups

EDIT: just another quick update from O2 tech support. Apparently it's due to Microsoft rolling out updates and they hadn't informed O2/BE about it, so it looks like we're all buggered for the next few hours until they resolve it.

I wonder what that's all about? What updates can cause this packet loss?

I'd assume its links running at near full capacity falling over due to extra traffic from updates.
