Ive had my new xbox slim a week now and on some days it randomly disconnects me from xbox live but im able to sign straight back in.
It is connected via ethernet but also when it signs out it will sometimes say make sure the ethernet cable is connected (which it is).
Usually if i put my pc to sleep (also connected via ethernet) the xbox will sign me back in and detect the cable. I got the xbox connected to the routers ethernet port 1 and my pc in port 2. My sister uses wireless on her macbook and stepdad uses his laptop in wireless. but it does disconnect at night too when no one is on except me.
I use virgin 10mb broadband, Speed test shows 9mb download & ping is fine A grade. could it be a bandwidth issue or as im using 2 ethernet ports its not configured correct?
Router is a DLINK DIR-615..
Anyone know what could be causing the problem?
