Hi

I feel like a bit of an idiot as I am unable to figure out how to upgrade my xbox live account to gold.... I tried doing it through the console but you need to be in the US for that.... Xbox.com doesn't seem to help either... All I can find are subscription cards sold by online retailers.... Surely there is an easier way to do it instantaneously online?

I've got this far and have selected the xbox gold membership I want.... I then have to add a payment option. If I choose add credit card I can't complete the transaction because it assumes I am living in the USA and asks for a zip code and state, obviously I can't fill these... The other option is redeem code. Can I purchase a code online?
 
Hi again... I'm in the UK and my profile SHOULD be a UK one... However I have a sneaky suspision that when I set up my hotmail account around 10 years ago I rushed through all the prefereance and may have had it set to a US address... I have updated it since but maybe this could still be a problem.

When I log in at http://www.xbox.com/en-GB/live/ it says United Kingdom at the top of the screen so I really don't see what the problem could be.

The obvious solution would be to set up a new profile but as my tag is currently associated with my hotmail account (there is no way to un-associate it) I'd rather not... Don't want to lose all those achievements!

Any ideas what I should so?
