Hey people, i've just recently moved house and with that comes internet changes etc.

So i have a new mode of internet in the form of wireless (new to me). The internet works and the connection is stable (i think). So the help that i require is to do with my xbox live. I plugged the ethernet cable into the same slot as it was in the old house but no joy on the xbox live connection. Here is the new internet situation in a nutshell;

Downstairs PC -(wired)-> Belkin N150 Router
Upstairs PC -(wireless via Belkin N USB Adapter)-> Belkin N150 Router

Its a very simple setup, but now i want the xbox wired to the upstairs PC. I have tried a network bridge between the wireless internet connection and the xbox ethernet cable slot and what happens is a warning appears that reads something along the lines of "IP address conflict". I've looked at the router settings by putting in 192.168.2.1 but i lack the knowledge to know what to look for. Any help in resolving this problem would be brilliant, thanks to whoever gets me back on live! xD

I seriously wouldn't bother messing around trying to bridge your connection, using a PC its more hassle than its worth. Either:
Purchase the XBox wireless adapter http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CO-069-MS&groupid=974&catid=1587&subcat=

Purchase a set of powerline adapters http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=NW-103-BE&groupid=46&catid=1604&subcat=

Or purchase an Apple Airport Express which you can run in bridged mode (I use one of these sometimes.

If none of these is viable then repost and I will try and talk you through the settings that you need

One or more devices on your network have the same IP address?

On your PCs you can check the IP address from the network connections icon or by typing "ipconfig" in MS DOS.

On the 360 you can do some sort of connectivity test that will show you the IP address it has.

I am guessing your router is giving an IP address to each of your PCs, and your upstairs PC is giving an IP address to your 360 (which possibly is the same address that your downstairs PC has got?) You could try turning off your downstairs PC and see if things start working, just to validate that is the problem. (After turning off downstairs PC, reboot router and upstairs PC and 360)

Just a quick update, i ended up getting a wireless adapter for my xbox and it seems to be working fine at the moment. All i wanted was to be able to play MW2 again :p
