so last week my xbox told me i had nat issues cant join some games etc etc.

whats wierd is, i dont think any of my settings or configuations changed.

i have my xbox connected to the internet through my pc, but it was working like that before.

set my routers ports to be open for xbox live. not sure whats up

anyone got any suggestions?

No suggestions, sorry... But my brother has got exactly the same problem.

It's not when you're trying to join a group or games with your friends? I think my brother only started getting the problem with ODST.

just when i do xbox live test, that comes up. im not sure where the problem lies, with xbox, connection to my pc or my router. it was fine, as far as i can nothing has changed :s

Have you rebooted the router? Can you use some sort of external website or something to confirm the ports are open? (It is not beyond the relams of possibility that the router has "lost" the ports and needs a reboot?).

Turn your PC and 360 on and then try clicking this link? http://www.utorrent.com/testport?port=3074

I had to DMZ my xbox's IP to get it to work properly, opening the ports in the router settings didnt seem to work. Though thats not much help to you if you connect via your PC.

the magical bt home hub :(

I'm so sorry dude. Same hub, same problem. It comes and goes. You need to put your XBox in a DMZ and assign application setting on the hub. Because it's in a DMZ and the ip will always change so it looses the application settings pretty much everyday so you have to assign them back.

It's the hub. I'm stuck with it because I'm still living with my parents, so to teach my Dad a lesson for not listening to me I don't help them out with internet problems and he's starting to get the message. It's a awful piece of hardware and software and I want to smash it so much.

i cant even get my xbox to connect to xbox live at all now lol, just tried changing settings hasnt helped.

need to get a switch atleast i think, so its not using my pc's connection.

i had to put me xbox outside the firewall damn whats it called cant remember but u should be able to assign one ip adress (the xbox) to be outside all the security things in yo router.

The problem is that many EU ISP's (BT definately are one of them) keep resetting your Open NAT status so you open it they close it etc etc via a router reset or connection reset (BT seem to do this every month to track billing on your account by bandwidth useage) & or firmware update.

Had this issue for ages now and only permanent solution is to either have your 360 connected outside your Router so its direct to Xlive or disable a setting which means your BT home hub can no longer auto update. I decided to disable all my firewalls as fed up with all the hassle and I never ever get the problem now. Putting the 360 into a DMZ & or opening ports etc etc never works for long as BT keep resetting these settings :(
