Xbox Live question - One subscription - many users on same console?

Hi, I want to get XBOX LIVE for my 360 however theres about 3 people playing on the console, me and my two brothers, if I were to get Live would it make the console live so that my brothers can play games online also or just my user?

Man thats really bad you have to buy a subscription per user....

Will american subscription work with english consoles? A lot of items i've seen said they don't, bah....
