Hello.

In preparation ,I have a question that I cannot find the answer for regarding Xbox Live Membership.

When I create my account, do I need to enter an email address?

The reason I am asking is due to the fact many of my friends have been signing into msn via their Xbox 360's. I do not wish for my email to be used for anything like this, or have my ISP email converted into an MSN address, im a bit confused for any help would be great.

Regards :)

I think you will need an email address... But you dont have to use it for messenger if you don't want to, for example, it will not automatically log you into msn messenger when you sign in to xbox live, its a completely different setting :)

Hi There.

Thank you, will it convert or register my ISP email into an MSN ID so that it can be used for messanger etc? Something I don't want :o

I'm not 100% sure, the one I used already was one. But if it does make it an MSN ID there are no real drawbacks to that, it will not affect the way you currently use your email.

Visit www.passport.net and see if you can use your existing ISP email to create an Windows ID for LIVE!

If all else fails, create an MSN/Hotmail account, make a note of the details you used for the account just in case, and create your Gamertag for LIVE! and once setup, don't set the Auto login for MSN on the 360.
