I've had a Live! account for a while now but I always buy my Gold membership online as it's cheaper and I don't want MS having my card details. Now my 11 year old has his own 360 in his room he also wants a Gold account.

Tried signing him up today and as he's only 11 it wants all my details as a parent. It's now asking for my card details to verify my age! WTF??? It already knows my age from my own account.

If I give them my card details will they automatically charge it for Gold memberships when they run out? I've heard this has happened in the past and also there's no way of deleting your details once they have them?
 
You can cancel future subs but have to call them. Response I got when I asked:
