XBox Live Set-Up

Hey guys, had a really hectic day today and i'm in need of some help

Ideally I need a diagram of this but i'll try and explain it good.

I need help re-setting up my router-xbox connection, due to the fact a changed my room about today and forgot the set-up (duh!).

Anyways, atm I have both router and modem connected to power, cable frm router to xbox and pc to modem via ethernet, alos connected modem to pc via a usb cable, guess to make sure! Scarily I found 'that extra' cable after setting it up!

This really does need a spider diagram lol.

Do you want A diagram for what it is now or what it should be?

Ideally you want:

Modem > Router > PC + xbox

> = Ethernet cable

It was working fine like 6 hours ago!

If your having trouble connecting to live it maybe because its down atm due to updates and will be for a while I think 1-2 days.

its a nice picture but why is the 360 a quick charge kit?

LOL 1-2 days, that would own them!

It'll be back up by tonight, if not then tomorrow when you get in from work.

Because Visio doesn't have a Xbox icon

Although it could be clearer, the PC and 360 have separate cables going into the router.

Does it matter that my router has a WAN port after its 1-4 normal ports?

Depends, which router do you have? Wan is normally where you plug in the modem (Unless the router is the modem also then you would put it in the DSL/adsl port).
Do you Have ADSL or cable?

10Meg Virgin Cable.

Got a Buffalo Wireless-G 125* High Speed Router

Just had a look, does it have only 5 ports? if so the Virgin goes into the Wan and the PC and Xbox will go into the 1-4 Ports.

Live is down at the moment though so it will be hard to test.
