Xbox live subscription

Anyone had the problem of invalid code message after trying to insert subs code on renewing xbox live. I bought the card on e-gay but the renewal code will not get accepted any help would be appericated. I bought the card from the US so i do not know if this would cause a problem.

I was under the impression that marketplace point cards were region locked, but the Live sub codes weren't - unless MS have changed this?

Microsoft have changed this, Live codes are now region coded too.
