Xbox live via PC?

i havet got an xbox yet atm just trying to see where the best deals are etc. To cut down on costs would it be possible to connect to xbox live like this?

Xbox----cable-----> PC------ Wireless-------> Netgear router?

Would i have to enable internet sharing on the pc?

Yea i did that before i had my router. Only thing i didn't like was the fact that the PC had to stay on whilst playing the Xbox. Not that big of a deal, but i have a thing about leaving stuff on that isn't being used

Using windows vista or XP (probably 2000 too) you can combine both your wireless card and network connector into bridged mode. This allows both your connected items to connect to the internet without worrying about settings.

Just select the two adaptors, select bridge and voila it works once the bridge is created.

Don't use ICS, when it and a router are on the same network, it &/or the router will fall over all the time.

ICS is bad.

But the bridging suggested above is the way to go
