After being a dedicated PC gamer and spending thousands on PC components, I managed to get hold of a 360 at long last. I have to say that I am so impressed with everything about the system..

Loving XBOX Live..

And I'm in practice for the Fifa Tourney you are are organising... :D

i'm sitting here at home waiting for my 360 premium to be delivered, I can't stand the excitement!

Moved my wireless router to the living room and got ridge race 6 sitting here waiting to play :(
 
To think that it cost less than my G Card... utterly amazing...!!!

I had such a laugh on PGR Last night... some guy from Cornwall was asking how he could play CoD 2 with English people because he set up his console as an American and all he plays on are American Servers. He was saying all they do is take the jimmy riddle out of his accent.. hearing him say it was absolutely hilarious... he had everyone crying with laughter.. That type of community, where people are purely playing for fun is something that has endeared the 360 to me so much....
 
TBH I don't think I've played any games on the PC since I got mine. Don't think it will remain like that, but I doubt I'll be getting anything for the PC unless it's miles ahead of the console, and of course I've the hardware to match.
 
I too have not played a single PC game since getting my 360. I would sell my pc but I'd miss the internet for browsing etc. CM110, A64, X800XT etc etc just going to waste really. I think I might get a laptop or cheap barebones.
 
As much as I like my Xbox and am loving my 360, for me 'Live' needs to be improved.

As an avid PC and Console gamer, I think that online gaming for PC's is still way ahead of any console. Granted 'Live' is the best thing out there for any console but it could still be improved. A lot of the games have a low player limit for online gaming such as CoD2 and some of the racing games.

I think a lot of this is due to a player having to host a game. I wish they would release a standalone server app that people can stick on a leased server with decent network connections, then you could get decent player numbers in the games.

Not trying to knock 'live', I enjoy a good blast on PGR3 and RR6. But for online gaming like battlefield 2 on a 64 player server, or GT Legends with 20+ players, I think the PC is still the best option.

I suppose online gaming is still relativly new to consoles and I'm sure a few years down the line they will be offering a service to rival PC's online.
 
I downgraded my PC setup to beable to afford a 360.

Well worth it.

You carnt beat sitting in the living room on a comfy big chair blasting round the track in PGR3 :D
 
Sold my gaming rig, hadn't touched it since I got my 360 and I can't forsee anytime in the near future when I would have.

I still have my P4 Shuttle for downloading, web browsing and transfering music to my iPod and that's all I need a PC for right now.
 
Pretty much the same Wyrdo, Sold my x800 XT PE, and a few other bits and bobs and bought an AMD64 Shuttle with the money.
 
I gave up pc gaming too for Live after seeing what the dev team wanted in live for the 360. Looking forward to some top live action over the next few months :p

There's a great deal of areas MS need to improve Live on, but they already are aware of it (listen to the major nelson podcasts) so we'll deffo be seeing a lot of functionality added to the dashboard in future. Now if only those dumb yank movie companies would let the Uk'ers view their sodding trailers...
