Xbox Live...With Tiscali...

So doing that wont affect my firewall for the pc whilst its switched on?

Well I started from scratch...not when I tick the two boxes, and I choose Local Area Network...a box comes up saying...ICS cannot be enabled, due to an IP conlict...IC requires the host be configured to use 192.168.0.1, please ensure no other client on the network is configured to use 192.168.0.1...

thanks for all the help so far..muchly appreciated

Ok this is offically driving me mad, have been up ALL night trying to fix it, but to no avail...

Bsically, I can have my internet open and shared...dandy

My Lan says its connected under the IP 192.168.0.1...

But when I try to connect to XBL, nothing....

Someone must be able to shed some light onto this surely?

I'm with tiscali, I hooked up my PS2 to the net last night, first using the method you have but like you it didn't work and said 'Limited or no connection' but for some reason when I plugged the cable from my pc > router > PS2 it could connect.

Only other thing is the cable that comes with the xbox a crossover? I believe to do ICS it needs to be one of them.

Yeah it will, tehres a few people on here doing it, adn me and my dad used to run 2 PCs through a USB modem using ICS.

It should be a simple case of........

Xbox -> PC (disable firewall between units in network connections window)

PC -> Internet (enable internet connection sharing, enable firewall in network connectiosn window)
Dont want to sounds like a noob :p but is there any sort of guides to do this?

And do you need to set the 360 up on the pcs connection settings?
