Xbox Live wont update

Hi guys,

Turned my Xbox on for the first time in ages. It asked me to download an update and began doing so. I cancelled it manually after a minute or two as I wanted to do something with the console, and then signed back into Xbox Live to update the console.

Now it wont update. It fails with a 'Can't download the update' message every time. I have tested the connection and everything is working perfectly.

Any ideas?

Clear the cache perhaps?

There is a way of clearing the cache on the Xbox hard drives.

It gets rid of all software updates though, so expect a download for almost each game.

I tried several times and mine was doing the same thing yesterday. Rebooted the router today to try it again and it worked.

Yeah i had the same problem as the OP a simple Reboot of my router done the job.
