i had this a few days ago, the ICMP was failing on the internet connection tests. I rang customer support and they said the server in my area was down for maintenance, i waitied a few hours and it signed in fine.

Glad my internet hasent naft up since Virgin took over. Not a hicup in over 5-6 years

oh, just read the last few comments. Kennyboy mine did this aswell last night, if you turn the router on and off (either by the plug or a switch on the router if you have one) and it should log on fine
