Have you tried ringing Microsoft. I recently had problems with my live because Microsoft where blocking certain IP addresses. Took 5 days to get fixed as so many people had the same problem. Try looking on the Orange broadband forums to see if anyone else has the same problem. (presuming your on orange as you rang them)

I had major MTU issues on sunday night with XBL, i was googling the issue and it seems MS limit certain MTUs when they are about to launch an update for some reason, i just switched off my Xbox sunday and and come monday it was working fine.

Ok so I have an update I tried all MS suggested solutions ive opened all ports but no luck.
Then I tried pulling all devices out the modem turning off then on then I pluged my xbox into slot 1 of the modem previously occupied by my pc and low and behold it works but ridiculously slow it had an update to do which normally only takes 5 minutes this one took over an hour so when it finished I tested the connection and it told me my NAT was moderate and made a suggestion but I now found my pc had no connection so I swapped them back which resolved my pc connection but caused me to lose my live connection.

Whats going on is my modem FUBAR,ed

I had this problem a few mths ago...in the end it was router Netgear DGN2000 as well that was at fault....had netgear replace the router and now everything is fine again.

Sounds like your router is messed up...call up netgear and get them to replace it.

Yep an hour after my last post I lost all connection so I switched back to my old Orange live box and its fine now then I realised this happened before about 10 months ago I lost all connection and the modem died so netgear replaced it for free with a new one but I bet they wont do it again despite it being less then 12 months old.
