Bought an Xbox One controller with BT to see if it removed the need for the £20+ wireless controller adapter, here's what I've found...

1. It works! Instant detection and every game I've tried picks it up flawlessly
B. There is no dedicated Bluetooth switch or toggle, it seems to cycle through standard connection and then BT
3. Performance is good but there is absolutely slight lag. Using the controller on PES 2018 (which is far from the most responsive game) and there are times when quick combinations of passing moves and reaction rates are hampered by button presses which aren't picked up on. Switching to wired removes this issue entirely
5. It works with phones! Thought I'd fire up a PSX emulator and it definitely works alright with Android though there is slight lag and the audio doesn't sync well.

Overall it's pretty good, I look forward to Elite V2 with BT included (presumably it'll be announced at E3)

I use bluetooth but was hoping they were going to bring a smaller wireless adapter out by now.

Ghost Recon Wildlands doesn't play well with bluetooth and never has. I find it hilarious that they've never sorted it.

Buttons assignments swap over etc.

MS did release a smaller adapter, though I was hoping it'd be the size of a nano Logitech wireless adapter. Sadly it's still the size of a standard flash drive (still beats the 8 foot long original).
