Hi all,

Decided to get another Xbox one controller today to go with my day one edition pad. However I've noticed the new pad plastic seems more matte like finish yet my day one controller seems like a more smooth plastic. Anyone noticed this? Not sure why they would use different types of plastic.

The Day One Edition pads are limited edition remember. So they designed them differently to the regular pads.

Got to say I prefer the Day One pad to the regular one personally :)

I've seen a video that shows the Day One pad is slightly darker than the standard controller, and also the D-Pad is a different shade, so that could explain any slight difference in feel.

Speaking of controllers, when I got my day one, the controller grips became loose after some use; it seemed as though after long periods of playing/the material heating/or the vibrations shake it loose. I had 3 replacements and it happened on each one. Seems very poor quality.

I ended up selling the box, and making a profit, however now my house mate has one so I was going to get another; still the controller seams cheap (the casing at least) as his is coming loose also.

Anyone else had this problem directly?

Cheers
