Glad i've found this.

I have the asus usb-bt400 bluetooth adapter to use with an xbox1 wireless controller but it can not find it when searching. I'm using the newest asus drivers not the windows version.

what am i doing wrong?

Is it the Xbox1 or the 1S controller that you're trying to use?
As I understand it only the newest one (the 1S) is the Bluetooth compatible one.

I also still never got to the bottom of the problem that started this thread either!

I have to plug my speaker or headphones in via the 3.5mm jack which is an absolute pain. Same issue still exists when running audio via Bluetooth in conjunction with the Bluetooth controller my games are reduced to stuttering mess around 25fps.
