Has anyone encountered the stuttering problem with this controller and got a solution for it?

There are a good few threads on the net about the problem but nothing that has actually fixed it for me.

For anyone that doesn't know what the issue is the controller (when connected via Bluetooth) turns my PC into a stuttering mess, both on desktop and in games, however it's fine when connected my USB cable but that's not much use.

What bluetooth adapter are you using?

It's just a generic one I got off the bay, although I know it's 4.0.

What I've noticed is that it works ok when I have either my bluetooth speaker or bluetooth headphones turned off so I'm guessing it's either an interference or a bandwidth issue?

See if there is a firmware update for the adapter. Other than that I would try the Asus one (should be back in stock tomorrow):

Asus USB-BT400 Bluetooth 4.0 USB Adaptor @ £12.95 inc VAT https://www.overclockers.co.uk/asus-usb-bt400-bluetooth-4.0-usb-adaptor-nw-076-as.html

The USB-BT400 is a Bluetooth Smart Ready USB adapter with new Bluetooth 4.0 capabilities. It connects you with a multitude of compatible devices and supports Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to reduce power

Only £12.95 inc VAT.

Hijacking this thread a bit... does the XBox One Controller work with the old microsoft wireless receivers for the XBox 360 controllers?

ok that's what i thought. I have one wired 360 controller and one wireless 360 one and was thinking of switching to 2 wireless ones, but not worth it then. And the only 360 controllers i can find now are either pricey or 2nd hand (and look pretty grubby tbh)

I have a 360 White controller and PC dongle for sale as we speak :D

it detects but wont pair with the random generic one i had laying around so ordered a new dongle

Did you order the Asus one posted? Let me know how you get on, may need to replace my generic one as well to see if it helps.

just wondering isnt there an official wireless dongle from microsoft for this device, and if so would it solve all the confusion.

Yeah it came out roughly around the time of the Xbox 360, I have one but I was trying to do away with it and have all my peripherals running through a single USB client, tidy the place up a bit.

Glad i've found this.

I have the asus usb-bt400 bluetooth adapter to use with an xbox1 wireless controller but it can not find it when searching. I'm using the newest asus drivers not the windows version.

what am i doing wrong?
