$499 = £325

Bare in mind that is with a SSHD and an elite controller.

Good if you can get one from over there and bring it back with you or get someone from over there to either ship one or bring it across with them.

The £75 saved can be spent on games.

Will the power adaptor work? Or is it just a plug replacement?

I'm heading over to the US early next year.

I'm thinking of replacing my launch console with this (or a limited edition) as its out of warranty, had my hands on it and seems to be getting louder and worse.

Just how much better is that controller?

Don't forget you're unlikely to get that high of an exchange rate and there will be sales tax on top unless you have an address you can have it delivered to. You start to think is the hassle worth the £40 saving in the end with having to mess around with adapters, bringing it back with you and any issues you might encounter in regards to online.

1. Clarity Card

2. Delivered to my relatives mail box / home

3. No adapters required change the US kettle lead for a £1 UK kettle lead

4. No issues for online what so ever

Yeah must admit tempted by this console / controller.

I've got the white limited X1, might sell that on and pick up one of these. The HDD and controller are luring me :p

Will be around Halo 5 launch as well, so X1 will get plenty of use then. Thing is will there be a die shrunk console next year? A slimmer model on 14nm/16nm with SHDD might be coming within 6/12 months.. I'm known for my impulse buying though lol. Don't think I can hold out :p

It's a shame this "Elite" console isn't a smaller one with built-in power. Maybe that will be the Super Turbo Mega Elite next year.

I was just about to take the plunge on the xbox one! I'm glad ive seen this now as i'll hold back and invest in the elite as ive been quite interested in the controller. The 1TB SSHD sounds nice too as i wondered about doing that my self when i heard you could do it with the PS4 so Win win this is the console for me! Just a longer wait and im no good at waiting lol.

Just in time for halo 5 as well as its out roughly same time!

I wonder how big the SSD part of th hybrid drive is? i.e can you manually allocate ALL of a game or couple of games that you always play onto this drive so that they're much quicker at loading?

Kind like I install my most played games onto my 360's HDD, so that they're much quieter when playing and I install / uninstall whenever I start getting into a new game.

It will likely have a 8GB partition for the SSD bit as most SSHD do. I doubt they will have had a custom made drive which packs more SSD drive space so my guessing is 8GB which will likely be used mostly by the OS as this is most frequently sued then by your most used game.

Looks like the UK price will be £400 not too bad IMO. The Xbox One Elite controller lists for around £120 possibly £100 in other places and this has a 1Tb SSHD not just a standard 1TB HDD so 80-100 quid more for this console isn't too shabby really.

Well most SSHD seem to only have 8GB of Nand memory on them so i would assume this will be the same for the Xbox One Elite console as i doubt they will have had custom driver made which will have a larger amount of memory on them. Especially as this would incur more costs.

Yep.

I think most people who have an existing xbox one would be made to replace with this! (doubt the performance difference is noticeable). I do however want an elite controller, shame the white and gold one doesn't come as an elite controller
