xbox one free game for broken console

Can someone please shed some light on this for me....

My brothers console broke today and MS said they will let him choose a free game. Will this be tied to his account or can he give it to me as he already has the 4 games he has to choose from

Interesting as my brother in laws console is also broken but no mention of a free game ...

I spoke at length with ms support last night. The agent told me that due to many customers attempting to send their consoles back using the advanced exchange order option, just to get a free £50 game they are stopping it.

It's only for the optical drive issue, nothing else though.

Yeah his is the optical drive fault. Anyone know about the game though?

My friend got TWO free games after his was faulty on launch due to the drive not reading discs. But apparently they offered him a second free game because he was being understandable about the 5 day turn around.... :confused:
