Xbox one pad battery compatibility

I changed ISP recently and they gave me 6 months free game pass ultimate. I've been using my old Xbox one as a result but need to get a new battery for the pad. Seems like the pads are backwards and forwards compatible with the new consoles which is nice to see.

Anyway MS doesn't seem to sell a battery for the Xbox one pad anymore, not surprising considering it's 10 years old. Will the battery for the newer pads fit or should I should I go third party?

I’m pretty sure they are the same as my batteries in my series pads came from my one pads I think it’s just the official ones though as far as I can remember. You will need a micro usb cable though as the new charge kits come with a USB C one for the X/S pads.
