Evening all, I've bought a Samsung ue50nu7020 TV for my son's room to connect to an Xbox One S to replace an older (non 4k TV)

I've connected everything but the Xbox is telling me that the TV doesn't support 4k when I try to enable 4k output

Any ideas of what I can try?

Thanks in advance

It sounds to me that either the HDMI cable is of an old format that does not support 4k, it's worth noting though that the cable that comes with the One S definitely does support 4K.

Also you may need to enable 4k support on the HDMI port in your TV settings. I think Samsung call this HDMI colour or something like that, they've changed the name a few times over the years. It's normally located in either the Picture settings or in the External Device Manager.
I hope that helps!

I thought that was just to enable her or something? My TV has it but I can't remember what it's called.

HDMI enhanced or something like that needs to be enabled on the specific HDMI port on the TV. You can disable HDR on the Xbox itself.
