Anyone here replaced the internal HDD with an SSD on their Xbox One S here?

Mines starting to be very slow booting and I’m keen to try this but I keep reading that Microsoft might lock out peoples accounts if they modify the consoles, which seems stupid in regards of replacing a failing drive.

I swapped the stock drive to a SSD on my One X I never had a problem with it and it was a fantastic upgrade :)
There are plenty of guides on YouTube explaining how to do it

Thanks thats helpful to know, yeah im not too concerned about the actual install process :)

Any modifications not officially supported by MS will trigger your console to be blocked.

Best to use the external drive or get the console repaired by Microsoft themselves.

Do you have experience of this happening or heard of it occurring? I currently have all my games on an external SSD which is fine but the console itself is slow and its not worth paying them to fix it over buying a Series S...but I like having the blu-ray drive so if I can keep it running well that would be a neater option overall!
