Xbox One TV integration

Wouldn't get your hopes up for anything soon, this is a very US focused service, they can't even get 50Hz pass-through right at the moment!

This seems to be hit and miss. A friend has her Sky HD box running through the XB1 and it is fine. But another has his 360 through the One and the picture is all screwy. Strange.

What's the state of it in the US, anyone know? I don't recall seeing it mentioned to any great degree in any of the hardware overviews after launch, and I know they have far more TV providers offering different services than the UK which can only add to the complication.

Cheaper TV's have limited HDMI inputs. You can snap TV too.

But the way (IIRC the two bigger carriers?) americans have it is the guide is integrated into the XB1 OS and you can change chanel etc with voice.

As the HDMI in degrades the image ever so slightly, I wont be using it unless the IQ is passed through unmolested. I noticed subtle IQ drops in things like skin tones when I had my Sky HD box run through it.

Would be tempted to put my HTPC on video pass through if it allowed you to snap the content with xbox games etc

I wouldn't be that bothered about that - I have XBMC running on my HTPC for watching ripped blu rays and tv shows - would just be cool to have an xbox overlay letting me be alerted of game invitations etc
