Xbox One Wireless Adapter

Does anyone else find it extremely unreliable? I seem to have to continually reinstall mine.

If I use the same USB socket it seems fine.
I have previously had problems with it not pairing correctly but not so recently.

I've never seem to have problems like that although it sometimes can take a few tries to sync if the controller has been paired with the Xbox.

Never had an issue with mine and I'm always swapping the controller between the XB1 and PC.

Mine is spotty at times. It sometimes takes removing it from the USB socket and re-syncing before it plays nice.

This. About 3 times a week I get "Dad, the controller isn't working again" and I have to do the above to make it work again.

Usually when i am on the throne!

Mine is the same and it's a pain in the arse. Sometimes it goes many days and connects with no issues and then it fails and I have to unplug/replug the adapter from its USB socket for it to connect. I have tried USB 2.0 and 3.0 and neither made any difference. I have also tried pairing the controller with a USB cable (read it works) and no difference. I have seen the same behaviour on 3 different pcs and fresh windows installs. USB drivers are up to date etc. It's just random if it wants to connect first time.

I am using an Xbox Elite controller and never had any of these issues with my Xbox 360 wireless pad. I contacted MS about it and got pushed from one department to another, in the end I gave up.

I am surprised MS hasn't sorted this out yet. Its seems to be a software/driver issue.

It is. IIRC it updates to a new,bum driver and the old one is the only one that works properly. I keep the old driver handy should I need to roll back. Quick google search will turn it up.

Thing is, I use my Elite controller for my PC alone as I sold my Xbox so it should no de-sync. Plugging the charge cable in sometimes syncs it but sometimes the adapter just flat out refuses to even light up and function until Ive unplugged it.

Its at the point now where I just ran my charge cable plugged in instead.

Yeah I only use my Elite controller on the pc as I have never had an Xboxone. Thanks for the tip on the old USB driver I will have a look for it and try it out.

Never had an issue with mine, but some PC's can have iffy USB ports. My last machine kept losing my keyboard and it would only stay connected on one port. The other USB ports worked fine with other devices though.
