Currently own a PC and a PS4 pro. And thinking of getting rid of the Pro and getting a 1x. I got the pro to replace the og Xbox one I had.
Worth it or just stick to my current setup.

I’ve just bought an Xbox one X. I had the first xbone and wasn’t impressed with the ui or the exclusives but ms have come along way with the console and I’m very impressed.

Graphically for a console it’s amazing and imo better than the pro which I also own. The ui is miles better and again I think it’s better than the ps.

I own a good pc, the pro and now an X. They all have their good points and bad but the way gaming is going with the pc, eg, high prices for gfx cards, cheaters etc etc and the way consoles have massively improved, the gap between console and pc is next to nothing now.

If you're buying to play upcoming games and you have a decent PC consider that every Microsoft exclusive will also be released on Windows 10 whereas the Sony exclusives will only be on the PlayStation.

Otherwise it's the most powerful console you can get, you'll (most likely) get the best performance and visuals from third party games and it's the best way to take advantage of Xbox's backwards compatibility with many games getting visual and performance boosts over the original Xbox One.

All depends on what games you like to play .
Used to Play forza, Gears of War etc, and liked Fable.
Only ps4 exclusive I've played at the moment is Uncharted, gonna try tlou this week.
Just kinda miss having a Xbox. But can I justify £499 or whatever they are these days.

If you prefer playing on pc then most xbox exclusives can be had on that (gears, forza etc.). If not, and you're not bothered about playstation exclusives, then go for xbox.

I can recommend horizon zero dawn on ps4. Generally my preference is xbox though (controller, console not as loud

Do enjoy my PC but don't think I'll be upgrading it when the time comes, I prefer the ease of consoles.
Or do I wait keep PC and PlayStation and see what the next Xbox and ps5 brings first.

I'm in the same boat as you, @marcg868. Xbox One is in its box, PS4 is on the stand gathering dust at the mo and PC is the place to play. But next gen, depending on the power of the consoles (better be 4K60 as the norm rather than the exception) I'll either be ditching PC and going Xbox+PS or keeping PC and just upgrading to PS5.

Well after deciding my PC is a pain in the Arse and it's just going to be used for photo editing. I'm wondering wether to go for the X or the S. If I keep my ps4 pro I'd probably go with the S.
Will just be for Forza, gow and looking to play some of the old fable games.

You're in that same place as me (minus the PS4 Pro)

I decided that due to space and other factors that I needed to get rid of the PC and I had to decide between PS4 Pro and Xbox One S or PS4 and Xbox One X.

I opted for the X and the standard PS4 as the X is the more capable console and I'll use the PS4 purely for exclusives which are well optimized for the hardware.

As you already have a PS4 Pro, I'd suggest an Xbox One S unless you can find an X second hand for about £300 like I did.

Yeah S would be better I think as it can be connected to my PC monitor and and keep my pro on my 4k telly. Plus I've got to keep it hush hush from her, as she will slash my throat if I buy another console!
