Xbox or Playstation?

Got PS4 pro and a One X.

PS4 has been in its box a long time... if you play online for me the PS4 just isn't good enough. However if you play single player a lot, this is your console, the only time i will be pulling mine out the box anytime soon will be for Last Of Us 2.

For a child, the xbox is so child friendly and has a much better parent control. PS4's is virtually non existent. my 7 year old has a one S it notifys me when ever i buy something ( he knows not to anyway) via email for me to confirm it. If i dont, it doesnt go through.

Suppose it all depends what you child wants! They wont be fussed about anything other than the games they want to play, mines obsessed with roblox and minecraft, neither is a console decider, I prefer the safety of the Xbox parental side though.

Having both consoles for a while now, the online side of things is exactly the same, the days of PS online network being not that great compared to xbox live does not apply any longer, maybe some may find either network better on their internet, but in general they are both as good for online gaming, especially since PSN went subscription based like Xbox live.

The PS4 games library is far superior to the XBox One this generation, so I'm surprised that people still ask this question.

I have no idea what happened at MS, but they have no great exclusives any more so if you are only going to get one console the choice is pretty clear cut.

I only have an XBox One because my friends all play online on it, otherwise it would never get turned on except every few years for a Halo release.

Sony's online service is still really poor in comparison to MS's offering, but if you're not using voice chat or playing with friends then it's a solid enough service.
