Hello. I have allowed all file sharing (local) in windows media player however my xbox does not pick the desktop PC up. However, it does pick the laptop up (both are windows 7). When I scan for computers it picks up a computer (im guessing its my desktop) but says "PC not listed" I try to connect to this and it fails. Any help?

Thanks

On your desktop go to Control Pane -> Devices and Printers. Does the Xbox show up in there?

Or you can try typing media streaming into the Start Menu search box, then click Media Streaming Options, and see if the Xbox shows up in there.

Try with Windows Firewall off.

Also in Advanced Sharing Settings: Network Discovery - on, File and Printer Sharing - on, Password protected sharing - off?

Yup, all is set at that

Just turned AVG firewall off and it works. Only the sample music plays so so I will have to copy my itunes folder in to the sample music
