So, my launch 360 finally red ringed a little while ago and I decided to repair it myself, got rid of the x clamps and screwed it all back together, red ring gone and the console is working perfectly...

However the fans on the back were going crazy and were basically stuck on full blast the whole time making it quite unpleasant to actually play games on it. So I got some thermal compound thinking that it would solve the fan problem and diffuse the heat better. It worked and the fans became uber quiet...

However! Now it keeps freezing up and artefacting either after a few seconds or a few minutes. I've taken it apart and tried less thermal compound, more, different HS tension but still the same, not sure what I've done to cause this.

Any suggestions?

Thanks for the help guys, it did occur to me that I might have actually just damaged it having taking it apart and put it back together so many times.

I don't have the thermal pads but as I said it worked perfectly fine before I put the thermal paste on, I'm going to see if I can remove it completely, it may be that there is a problem with the temp sensor, but I have no idea where it is =/

It's looking increasingly like I will need to buy a new one.
