Ok since i changed my TV (nice new Panasonic 50VT20) i now have my Xbox, PS3 and Sky all on HDMI.

The sound output from the 360 is done with a hacked up cable so I have the Optical out for my amp.

Now sometimes (about 1 in 3) when i switch from the Xbox and back (say when im check TV for something or PS3, it can restart the 360. like its been power cycled.

This is really freaking annoying when it happens while you have a game paused and you lose progress.

Any Ideas?

Not really, I'm working away from home.

It's really obvious though. The cables between the 360 connector and the optical PCB all go from the connector to the PCB, except for one which loops from the connector, back to the connector. It is small and black. Cut that one.

Post a picture highlighting the one you think is correct and I'll confirm if you want.

My Pioneer does this.

Ive hacked all the wires off the plug though, HDMI to TV and optical to AV receiver.

Is the loop inside the connector plastic box?

great stuff, once im back home I will crack the box open and give it a try.

I chopped my finger off cutting the plastic of the thing in the first place when it slipped and the knife endded up in my hand so at least the metal is easy enough to open up.

Ocuk forums come through again when you need them and this time there was no insulting or trolling before the answer as well!

OCUK forums are the best I've encountered on the web. I am a long standing member of a couple of videogame websites and over the years have got fed up of seeing them degrade into nothing but immature fanboy trolll infested spamming sessions. So far I've found the members on here to be friendly and informative, and seem only too happy to pass on some of their knowledge to help someone out. Long may it continue.
