Surely Mass Effect's content isn't all that apropriate with the sexual undertones/scenes?

I get the argument that he;s lpaying gears of war... but that's gunning Aliens. In my warped mind that makes it ok, but copping off with Aliens... not so appropriate :D

Yep, that good ol' twisted modern morality at work.

Let a child bloodily blow faces off, no problem. But sex?!?! DISGUSTING BEHAVIOUR!!!:D:D

Thanks, I've bought Blue Dragon already on ebay, got it for £9 new, so a bargain. If he works his way through that, I'll see if he's interested in the game you mentioned.

Tales of Vesperia is far better than Blue Dragon. Blue Dragon is a reasonably average JRPG, whereas ToV is one of the best RPGs on the consoles this gen. If he manages to make it through BD, he'll probably love ToV. The characters are a lot more fun, although there's a surprising amount of humour in the game's dialogue and some of it will likely go straight over his head :D
Tales also has a much more action orientated combat system compared to BD being more traditional turn based IIRC.

Thanks, I'm sure he'll not take forever to get through Blue Dragon, so that'll do nicely as a future purchase.

Example of what I mean about humour and innuendo:
No spoiler as these are just a couple of the MANY skits in the game (one of the ingame 'party chats', there are also the usual cutscenes, dialogues etc), most of which aren't plot important, they're just fun, and occasionally give further development or eyes into the mind of the characters (for good or bad).

looks good to me, not sure if the subtlety of the innuendo will go over his head or not though, not a problem as it's all very mild stuff. It would certainly keep him entertained, that's for sure.
