I have an Xbox Series X and I’ve just been setting it up. I want to do remote play so I’ve set it to sleep but have set active hours manually from 9am to midnight. I’ve also turned off the ‘when Xbox is off, turn off storage’ option. The problem is it doesn’t go into energy saving mode outside of my active hours. Not sure if anyone else sets their Xbox active hours manually and whether it works for them?

Also, is energy saving mode better? I’m not sure if remote play would work, I don’t think it does. And the ‘when Xbox is off, turn off storage’ option - what does this actually mean? I see online it related to external drives and games and apps updating but does this include the official Seagate expansion card?

I have mine OFF, not Sleep. Because I don't use remote play and I don't need to install games remotely.

If you find yourself wanting to do that, then put it in the in between setting. The only annoyance is some games have large patches, like Flight Sim, so takes a while on a slow connection. But recently I got a 500mb/s connection (up from 150), it has meant this is less of an issue.

Thank you.
