Xbox Series X & S - Monitor Resolution?

As the title suggests what do you all believe the ideal monitor resolution will be with the new series systems that is affordable (less than £400)?

Currently both are spec’d to run 4K @ 60-120fps.

I have a friends girlfriend asking for advice on a monitor to purchase and at the moment my only high performance thoughts would a 1440p 114Hz+ monitor. Just simply because of that seems to be a sweet spot for current gen PC Gaming so why not next gen consoles (very highly an illogical thought but winging it).

Ideas of monitors to purchase are welcome.

as HDMI 2.1 in monitors isn't really a thing yet..

A very high quality 4k60 monitor 30"+ with a low input latency is the ideal solution outside of buying a 4k120 HDR OLED tv.

You can buy a decent 4K monitor for less than £400. I have a LG 27UK650 but would consider a 32" if possible.

yeah seriously going lower than 32" for 4k is an absolute waste of time

These were my original thoughts. The 4K Monitor for the Series X and the 1440p for the Series S.

I think you can run 4K 120fps with 4:2:2 Chroma, there's not enough bandwidth for HDR but monitor support for effective HDR is garbage anyway.
