I recently bought a 360 and am having some issues with the sound.
The console is connected via HDMI to the TV on HDMI1. I have free sat connected to HDMI2.
The problem mainly occurs when i start the xbox before switching from HDMI2 to HDMI1. When i do this there is no audio output - everything else works fine. If i then reset the xbox the audio works fine.
I also noticed that after playing some games last night with sound working i turned over the HDMI to watch some TV leaving the xbox on - when i turned back there was no sound and i had to reset.
It's not stopping me using the thing but its a bit annoying. Just wondered if anyone had any ideas on sorting it out? I've googled and there seems to be a trend of similar issues around changing HDMI channels but i cannot find a solution to this exact problem.
