Xbox transfer files

Ok so I've got an elite sitting there waiting to be used and brought a 256 memory card last night for a fiver, how should I go about transfering saves ect on to the elite from my old 20gb?

I've already requested a transfer cable from microsoft am waiting to even hear back from them at the moment.

Just wait for the cable or borrow one, it's far faster an easier. Just carry on using the 20gig until then.

How long do microsoft usually take mate?

It varies tbh, I've known it take a week but in the early days of the elite an age. See if the transfer cable thread is still going and if anyone has one you can borrow.

I've tried there is quite a wait in that thread I did put in for it about a week ago, I'll just wait it out thanks dannyjo mate

Doesn't using the transfer cable delete everything on the target drive? I.e you'd loose anything you'd already have copied or created.
