Xbox transfer games

I've got an xbox which I downloaded (and paid for I might add) the new GTA add on pack, I realised I had left the disc though at uni and I'm at home. I'm swappin my xbox tomorrow for my mate's as he wants to play online and his is chipped so he cant.

If I swap the harddrives on the 2 will I be able to paly the new GTA thing on his chipped xbox even if there's an original disc in the drive? What about signing into Xbox live? will I need to do this to verfiy I paid for the game?

These might all be obvious questions but I'm not swappin the xboxs if I cant play summat I just paid 17 quid or somethin for.

Probably shouldnt mention the dreaded piracy around here :)

But anyway. The way I see it, after swapping the hard drives you should be able to play GTA and the expansion as long as your hard drive has both the content and your gamertag on it. You just wont be able to sign into Live if his flashed console has been banned.
 
You should just be able to redownload it, the purchase will be tied to your account.

Edit - But you cant as your friend is a very naughty boy. Ah well, dunno then.

my console and games are legit but we only really play pro evo and fight night in our house and never online so I said my mate could have mine for a bit as he only wants to play online but cant. Neither of us are usin copied games either which is weird, we only play the games we already have that he doesnt want and he only wants to play COD5 online which we bought.

I thought the flashed xbox would be able to connect to xbox live but then wouldn't go any further or summat when it realised the game wasnt real? I dont really know though could be anythin.
 
well fair enough I appreciate that but I thought it wouldnt be so bad seein as I'm playin legit games I've paid for, its not illegal to flash your xbox is it? Just illegal to download games, which I'm not doin.

Illegal to flash. Also please use a "g" on the end of words which use the letter.
