xbox transfer

hi

is the microsoft form the only way to get the transfer kit for my premium/elite transfer, it seems a hassle having to send off a form ?

is there any easier way or is the above the safer bet?

you could use a memory card but that would take a long time and would be expensive!

yeah , how comes i have to send of a form through the post to ms?

i thought it would have been done over the internet?.

I am still waiting for my kit since launch day of the elite.

The best thing to do is ring MS up and get them to order it.

Hopefully I will get mine next week but I'm sure they will find another excuse to explain why it is taking so long to get these out to customers.

This has just been a farse. Why they can't include the kit with the unit or send a load of them to the retailers so they can give them to users who are upgrading is beyond me.

is the transfer necessary as all i want off mine is 1 or 2 game saves?

all my other infomation such as account details/points is on my gamertag is it not ? so i can just retrieve that over xbox live???

should i not just get a memory card?

If the games will let you move the saves to a memory card, there's no problem using a memory card.

The problems start when you want to move saves from Forza 2 for example. They won't let you move the main save from the HDD to a memory card.
