Im considering opening up my xbox as its starting to freeze periodically and i think its due to overheating, so i want to re-apply thermal paste to the heatsinks and possibly replace fans for better quality quieter ones.
The question is, if i open it up and remove the silver microsoft sticker (which doesnt state that the warranty will be void if removed!) will the warranty be void??
Has anybody opened there Xboxs and sent them for warranty work?

Im pretty sure it will be void if you open the thing up, let alone put new thermal paste on the thing and replace the fan's.

Opening your xbox and breaking the seal will void the warranty and sending it back to Microsoft will be a no no.

However depending on where you bought it from if its still within its 12 months warranty I would take it back there ASAP.
