Hi Folks,

I am having a problem with xbox media centre. I want to use it because the new DIVX HD codec for windows 7 will allow full 1080p streaming to xbox360 of mkvs.

I have set up the extender and media centre is running on the xbox and has found my library etc.

However, the screen resolution drops to 640*480 when i start windows media centre.

The dash sits fine at 1366*768 and as soon as i start windows media centre, the resolution drops. Anyone have any ideas why?

Found the answer- There is a bug that means if you use VGA cables to transmit signal, you cant change resolution in Media Centre

Hey man sorry for bringing this thread back from the dead but I'm having the same issue as described above. Did you ever get to the bottom of it? The annoying part for me is that it was once working for me on VGA as it should, full native res in WMC & also in dashboard. Something has changed however, I've tried all sorts. Re-installing codecs, VGA cable, Cat 5e cable etc.
