Hi,

I've noticed sometimes that when I press button on the controller in game it doesn't register and the range is very poor so if I move the controller a few feet away it disconnects

The batteries are full according to windows

Is the Bluetooth on the motherboard pants? On an Xbox you can go a lot further away without it disconnecting

Is there anything I can do to improve the signal?

Thanks

My guess is your case is sheilding it somewhat, I would grab the dongle with the extension cable and have that in direct line of sight.

I'd agree with this. I had the dongle plugged straight into a USB port on the backplate and had problems connecting, not always but maybe 30% of the time I just couldn't get the controller to connect. I plugged the extension cable into the same port, fed the cable under my case and left the dongle just between the feet under the front of case and have never had a problem since.

Yea its mentioned in the manual of the pad/dongle bundle that you should use the extension for direct line of sight because plugging in back sheilds it, so same logic for built in bluetooth.
