Xbox wireless controllers not connecting

Right okay a few days ago my sisters boyfriend was playing on my xbox and it froze and I was forced to turn it off because it refused to respond. I turned it off and when I turned it all of my controllers(All wireless) could turn the xbox on, but none of them would connect to it.

Today I turned it on to play Homefront, it worked for a while then it said I had run out of storage so it would not save anything. I started to go through my profile to see which hard drive it was saving onto and at this point it froze again and I tuned it off.

I have left it for quite a bit of time and tried to turn it on like previously but again the controllers could turn the xbox on but will not connect to it.

Considering none of my 3 controllers can connect to the Xbox I am thinking it is a problem with the xbox itself. So has anybody had this happen to them? Can anybody suggest ways I can make it work again?

Aren't there some kind of sync buttons on the front of the xbox and the back of the controllers? Tried them?

Yes sorry meant to say that, I had been pressing the sync buttons on both the Xbox and the controllers at the same time with no luck.

However I tried taking out the Hard drive and put it back in and it worked.

Thanks for your help though

Yep, turn your Xbox on, then press and hold the little sync button on the front, until the 4 lights start rapidly circling. Then, power on a controller and press and hold the little sync button at the top of the controller. It'll start spinning too, and after a few seconds they should both flash and sync.

EDIT: Too slow! Glad to hear you got there, though. Weird!
