Can I set up parental controls on an Xbox won without registering the account that will be using it?


Basically Raymond it's a present to my nephew but we want to set up parental controls before he opens it


And probably spoil his birthday.

Let me re phrase

I've bought a Xbox for my nephew for his birthday. Before I give it to him I want to open the box plug it in and set up parental controls before giving it to him.


Is this possible? Without registering an xbl account.

This is why I love this forum. If I had come on saying my nephew is failing his gcse's because he spends too long on the Xbox all I'd get would be ' use parental controls you idiot '

He's just 16 next week and has an inability to know that playing an Xbox till 3am is not really good when he has school in the morning.

I'm restricting the time to 8am to 11pm only.
